dolphin-806359You may use the following application to apply to our Florida Marine Ecology Expedition, June 17-27, 2019 or our Utila, Bay Islands, Honduras: Coral Reef Restoration, Whale Sharks, and Scuba Certification program, July 27-August 3, 2019 by filling in our application below and completing the following steps.

Deadline for the Utila, Honduras program has been extended to April 1st, with acceptances offered to you by email by April 22, 2019.
Deadline for the Florida, USA program is May 1, 2019 with acceptances offered to qualified candidates upon submission.

Scholarship

Utila, Honduras
We will be giving qualified Honduran students full scholarships to attend the Utila, Honduras project, but we also have a $1,000.00 scholarship for a non-Honduran student who shows both merit and need. To apply, simply submit: 1) a short video or write an essay about why the ocean matters and why you would be a good choice for this opportunity and 2) a letter of recommendation from a teacher addressing both your merit and need. Deadline is April 1, 2019. You must also apply for and be accepted into the program to receive the scholarship. (See the Apply tab below).

Florida, USA
We have already selected our scholarship recipients for this program. But we are currently accepting applications until May 1, 2019.

1. A completed application (form below). You must have a gmail account to access this form.

2.  A letter of recommendation preferably from a science teacher or another high school teacher. Email to admissions@oceanmatters.org

3. An up-to-date transcript from all high school work completed to date (must include 1st semester). Email to admissions@oceanmatters.org

4. A $50 application fee. You may pay the fee on our secure server online here or write a check payable to Ocean Matters, 129 Rockmeadow Road, Uxbridge, MA 01569. This fee is for a service and is not tax-deductible. 

Deadline for application is March 14, 2019, with acceptances offered by emailed by April 1, 2019.

 

Ocean Matters is 501(3)c nonprofit corporation and donations are tax-deductible as outlined by law.
